The Wind--which stands for for "Wi-Fi Network Device"--offers a number of convenient features that make this mini notebook a highly functional and easily portable laptop PC. The 10-inch LCD screen has a 1024 x 600-pixel resolution, which enables you to view full web pages while browsing the Internet. It's also embedded with an LED power-saving backlight technology, which not only helps to lower power usage but also provides richer and brighter colors. Processor
The Intel Atom processor uses a brand new design structure that packs in 47 million transistors into a single chip sized at just 22mm (0.87 inches), and it uses just 2.5 watts of power--less than 1/10 of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor--for excellent battery management. This 1.6 GHz Atom processor also includes a power-optimized front side bus of 533 MHz for faster data transfer on demanding mobile applications and a 512 KB L2 cache (which temporarily stores data).
Hard Drive
While smaller in capacity than the average hard drive found in larger, standard-sized laptops, the 80 GB hard drive (5400 RPM) is just the right size for what the Wind U100 was designed for--mobile Internet access. You'll have more than enough space to store a good range of applications as well as a decently sized digital audio and video library. This Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive also quickens the pace with a higher speed transfer of data--akin to Firewire and USB 2.0.
Memory
This laptop is installed with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, which has a top-of-class 667 MHz speed. It can be expanded to a maximum of 2 GB. To receive the faster data transfer benefits of the dual-channel DDR2 RAM, any RAM additions require memory modules of same capacity and clockspeed.
DVD/CD Drive
Because of its size, the Wind U100 does not come with an integrated optical drive, but optional CD/DVD read/write drives can be connected to the laptop via one of the three USB ports, enabling you to create your music mixes, burn movies to DVD, and more.

I travel for work, and require a personal computer while on the road (to pay bills, manage personal e-mail accounts, surf the web, etc.) The MSI Wind is perfect for what I need - it is small, has sufficient battery life, and is surprisingly capable (I installed Vista on mine, and it runs great ... but note, I installed an extra 1GB of memory, which definitely helps with Vista's performance - not sure what this does to my warranty, but I'm glad I did it) I have installed Macromedia Studio, Quicken ... I bought this netbook for the sole reason of taking notes during classes. It's small and comes with its own soft case which makes it perfect for sliding in a bag whenever you think you may need it. It's light so you can barely notice you're carrying it around. I got the 6-cell battery and it is awesome having 5.5 to 6 hours of battery life on one charge.

I am disabled and use to have a PDA to keep track of everything. The PDA was getting to dificult to see and enter info. so I purchased the MSI wind and I love it. It does everything I need and is light enough to carry around. So far I haven't found any cons.

What can I say? I have been in the market for netbook for a while and after constant research and comparing I went with the MSI Wind U100. It barely beat out the mini from Dell that I was going to choose as the extra 2 inches in screen real estate made we go with the MSI. All I can really say is that this little guy can pretty much process anything my Dell 15.4" laptop Latitude (2 gig RAM) can do. Cunard Line has announced that its new
85,000-ton cruise ship, which is scheduled to enter service in 2008, will be
named Queen Victoria. Based in Southampton, England, the Cunard Queen Victoria will be
the second largest Cunard Queen ever built. Together with the current flagship,
Queen Elizabeth 2, and Queen Mary 2, the biggest passenger liner ever, the
Cunard fleet will include three Queens for the first time – truly the most
famous ocean liners in the world.

Queen Victoria will enter service in the company’s 165th anniversary and will
operate cruises to and from Southampton to the Mediterranean, the Canaries,
Northern Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. The 1,968-passenger vessel

lounge, a large Lido pool with a retractable magrodome, and 10 of the12
passenger decks will be served by exterior glass-walled lifts. Like QE2 and QM2,

vessels, including many for Cunard’s parent Carnival Corporation. Originally
ordered as the fifth in a series of five 'Vista' class ships for sister company
Holland America, the contact was signed over to Cunard before the keel was laid
and Holland America then ordered a further ship for delivery in 2006.
