Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A little disappointed
I think I was expecting more 'sound' than I'm getting. How does one adjust the bass? When following the instructions for more bass, nothing seems to change. Supposedly by using button '12' in the instruction sheet to increase the bass the CD just skips. To make it more confusing, there are 2 buttons marked '12' in the sheet and neither one works. There is plenty of volume and the unit can be heard a couple of rooms away! No problem there. but the sound is slightly 'tinney' and isn't much better ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Sound from this little unit....
I just bought myself this nifty little mini-stereo unit for my living room after my cheap JVC player went kaput. Set-up was a cinch, even for someone with 2 left thumbs like me! These 2 little speakers emit beautiful AND powerful sound, and I get excellent AM/FM radio reception as well!

My only complaint is that the remote does not have a function to open/close the CD drawer, which is my main use for the unit. But it is a minor complaint since I would have to get up to change the ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good little setup
I bought this unit for my wife for 2 reasons; I wanted my wife to be able to dock her IPod Touch 2g into a stereo for her dressing room and it had an antenna input. We live in a really hilly area and, although were are relatively close to the station she listens to, we get bad reception. I paired it with a Terk amplified FM antenna and still get pretty poor reception. I think it's us not the unit. Once I put it into mono, the FM sounded better. You have to fuss a bit to get the IPod and the unit to work ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Exactly what I'd expect from Sony!
I have a fairly large bedroom, and this stereo is perfect for it. The sound quality is great, very clear, and it's plenty loud. At half volume it's already as loud as I'd ever play it, and it still sounds good. The remote's great, and you could theoretically completely control your iPod using it. But since the stereo doesn't display the name of the song playing, or the menu you're browsing (it just says "iPod"), you have to squint at your iPod's screen. This might just be my iPod though; I'm using an ancient ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Think Trice
Sound is cheap. System is Cheap. Not sure if it's the speakers or the system, but there is little bass..and I'm not a huge bass lover. I was also expecting a two (red/white) aux. input jacks, but there the aux. that is listed as a feature is only a single slim jack in the front. I'm not even sure what I can do with it but plug in my MP3 player. I got this from a rewards program, not from Amazon (sorry Amazon), but if I had got it from you it would be back in the box and on it's way back. Clearly this system is ... Read More

The on-board menus, entertainment and lecture program will be geared to British tastes and the currency will be sterling. Queen Victoria will fly the red ensign; she will have the name of her home port, Southampton, on her stern, and she will have a British Captain and Officers.   In design terms the cruise Cunard Queen Victoria will have an undeniably British feel with two British design teams being responsible for the interior of the Cunard Queen Victoria.

Queen Victoria is being built at Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, near Venice, with her keel laid on July 12, 2003. One of the most technically advanced shipbuilders in the world, Fincantieri has built more than 7,000 vessels, including many for Cunard’s parent Carnival Corporation. Originally ordered as the fifth in a series of five 'Vista' class ships for sister company Holland America, the contact was signed over to Cunard before the keel was laid and Holland America then ordered a further ship for delivery  in 2006.   Enjoy a Cruise on Queen Victoria.  The lead ship in the series, Zuiderdam, entered service in December 2002.

No cruise schedules have yet been announced. Her float out is scheduled for May 2007, prior to her delivery in March 2008.She is scheduled to enter service in April 2008.
