I purchased my J4580 about a month ago for 60.00 plus shipping off of an amazon seller (not directly from amazon). I expected the worst from this printer although I am very happy with this unit. I have it hooked up to 2 Mac's and I haven't had a single problem with it. Everything works as it should and it prints relatively fast (in draft mode only). I purchased this as I needed a printer at the time but I have to say I've been using the scanner almost daily for work and the copier works like ... Read More

Very great printer. Setup was very fast. Printing is great too. Right down to printing in order. If you want to print 5 pages. The printer will print the pages from 5 to 1 where page 1 will end up on top so printing is in order. Also I can print any photo to full size of the paper. And scaning documents came out very well too. The price was great and I receive the printer the next day. Very happy with this printer.

I can't think of how I could be more pleased with my HP Deskjet J4580. When I bought mine (10/7/08), Amazon was offering it at an awesome special price (with one of those "click to see price" links) with Super Saver Shipping... Even on the SSS the printer was delivered only 3 days after I ordered it (10/10/08)!
When I clicked to see the price markdown, I was so flabbergasted my first thought was that maybe the low price was because this printer is not "wired" for wireless, and and/or ... Read More

This terrific little fax/printer/scanner, for less than $90(!), is compact and lightweight--about 8" tall, 16 ½" wide, and (without the paper tray) about 11" deep, taking up relatively little desktop space, an all-in-one machine.
So far it does absolutely everything I've wanted it to do. User friendly and largely self-explanatory, it requires no complicated instruction manual or ramp up time for those of us who are not especially computer savvy. Printing is fast and "enthusiastic"--it ... Read More

I'm running Apple Mac OS X 10.5 on a Mac Pro and the HP Photosmart Studio application that comes bundled with this printer looks good, but kills the computer performance. After spending a week emailing HP tech support and getting nowhere, I finally called and the techs verified my suspicion that the application was scanning my iPhoto library (3.2Gb) in the background automatically at when it's launched. I tried three time to let it run (over night), but it ended in an error all three times. If HP can ... Read More
