Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The story of robin hood and his meeting up with little john and finding he has a long lost half brother. He also falls for his bestfiends lovely sister marian. Together they fight the evil sheriff of nottingham to protect king richards land. Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 09/14/2004 Starring: Kevin Costner Alan Rickman Run time: 143 minutes Rating: Pg13 Director: Kevin Reynolds

Amazon.com:
Kevin Costner's lousy English accent is a small obstacle in this often exciting version of the Robin Hood fable. That aside, it's refreshing to have a preface to the old story in which we meet the robber hero of Sherwood Forest as a soldier in King Richard's Crusades, coming home to find his people under siege from the cruelties of the Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman). After Robin and his community of outcasts and fighters take to the trees, director Kevin Reynolds (Fandango, 187) is on more familiar narrative ground, and he goes for the gusto with lots of original action (Robin shoots two arrows simultaneously from his bow in two directions). Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, as Marion, makes a convincing damsel in distress, and Morgan Freeman brings dignity to his role as Robin's Moor friend. Alan Rickman, however, gets the most attention for his scene-chewing role as the rotten sheriff, an almost campy performance that is highly entertaining but perhaps a little out of sorts with the rest of the film. --Tom Keogh

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Love the Movie - 2 Sided Disc, Not So Much
I love this movie. I owned it on VHS and was looking to upgrade, so I bought this DVD. It's a 2 sided disc so you have to turn the disc over half way through the movie just to watch the rest. Lame. I was also a bit disappointed that the video by Bryan Adams wasn't at the end with the credits like it was on the VHS. It was also at the end of the movie in the movie theatre too, so I'm not sure why they would exclude it on the DVD. I love this movie and hate to give it any thing less than a 4, ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves CD

we recieved our CD quickly and are pleased with it. You must stop and turn the CD over to watch the second half of the movie.
We are puzzled by this. Grandsons liked the movie.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great transaction.
I accidentally purchased two copies when I ordered and had no problem returning the extra copy.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Great Movie - Horrible DVD
I wished I had peaked at the reviews. I had NO idea that this movie, in DVD form, was split! You have to flip the DVD over to watch the rest of the movie. I was SHOCKED! I thought I was safe purchasing a film that I know and love but I was not. This COMPLETELY RUINS the entire viewing experience!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - top 50 romantic movies!!
I loved this movie when it came out. I had to have it...I am fan for romantic movies.

(Retired after 2004)

Cunard Line has announced that its new 85,000-ton cruise ship, which is scheduled to enter service in 2008, will be named Queen Victoria. Based in Southampton, England, the Cunard Queen Victoria will be the second largest Cunard Queen ever built. Together with the current flagship, Queen Elizabeth 2, and Queen Mary 2, the biggest passenger liner ever, the Cunard fleet will include three Queens for the first time – truly the most famous ocean liners in the world.   Cunard QMII Cruises

Cruise Queen Victoria will enter service in the company’s 165th anniversary and will operate cruises to and from Southampton to the Mediterranean, the Canaries, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. The 1,968-passenger vessel will feature a covered wraparound promenade deck, a forward-facing observation lounge, a large Lido pool with a retractable magrodome, and 10 of the12 passenger decks will be served by exterior glass-walled lifts. Like QE2 and QM2, the liner will have a Queens Grill, offering single-seating gourmet dining. There will also be a unique Colonial Restaurant on Deck 11 with spectacular panoramic views.

Queen Victoria, Cunard Cruise Line

Queen Victoria cruises will offer a wide range of accommodations, large standard outside cabins (170 square feet) and a high percentage of balcony cabins (67%), thereby bringing new levels of luxury and choice to passengers preferring to depart from a European port.  Cruise Queen Victoria!   Cheaper Cost Hosting

The on-board menus, entertainment and lecture program will be geared to British tastes and the currency will be sterling. Queen Victoria will fly the red ensign; she will have the name of her home port, Southampton, on her stern, and she will have a British Captain and Officers.   In design terms the cruise Cunard Queen Victoria will have an undeniably British feel with two British design teams being responsible for the interior of the Cunard Queen Victoria.

Queen Victoria is being built at Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, near Venice, with her keel laid on July 12, 2003. One of the most technically advanced shipbuilders in the world, Fincantieri has built more than 7,000 vessels, including many for Cunard’s parent Carnival Corporation. Originally ordered as the fifth in a series of five 'Vista' class ships for sister company Holland America, the contact was signed over to Cunard before the keel was laid and Holland America then ordered a further ship for delivery  in 2006.   Enjoy a Cruise on Queen Victoria.  The lead ship in the series, Zuiderdam, entered service in December 2002.

No cruise schedules have yet been announced. Her float out is scheduled for May 2007, prior to her delivery in March 2008.She is scheduled to enter service in April 2008.
