This silly three-part adventure plays like a nudie version of Sailor Moon. When Yohko Mano turns 16, her grandmother explains that she must assume her role as a "Devil Hunter," continuing a family tradition that has lasted 107 generations. And not a moment too soon: The sadistic high school principal is plotting to resurrect the queen of the demons in a ritual that involves the blood of Hideki, the guy Yohko nurtures a crush on. With the help of a magic ring and sword, Yohko dispatches the baddies and assumes her new career. In episodes 2 and 3, Yohko's best friend, Chi, becomes her "manager," and she acquires an apprentice, Azusa Kanzaki. In all three, Yohko tackles a variety of demons while losing the top of her outfit and/or flashing her panties. The plots are riddled with more holes than Yohko's costumes. Grandma Madoka explains a Devil Hunter has to be a virgin, yet she's still offing evil spirits; after Yohko saves her adored Hideki's life by killing the demons in episode 1, he simply evaporates and is never heard of again. Even better than the first 3 episodes, Devil hunter Yohko is classic Anime at it's best! This show may be a bit dated, but it still has sexy girls, engaging plots, and great music. This DVD is absolutely exceptional in every way and I strongly recomend it for any anime fan(provided you can deal with the nudity of course).

The very first anime ever released by ADVision, this is still one of the best, even in this day and age of shows like AZUMANGA DIAOH, EXCELL SAGA, and MAGICAL SHOPPING ARCADE ABENOBASHI.
Regarding Amazon's plot description, there is no plot hole regarding the part about devil hunters and virginity. I guess that guy must not have been paying close enough attention. Yohko wants to become a 107 devil hunter but she has to stay a virgin first. Later in this show she starts to have powers fights a devil queen. She has a crush on a guy who doesn't want to waste his time on her. One girl she saves becomes her assistant. The action is not for kids, theirs a lot of panty shots showing and full nudity.

Devil Hunter Yohko is one SWEET show. I simply loved the first episode for all it's humor, wit, action, and sexual puns. The nudity in this show truly comes second to the story itself and all the comedy and action in it; the nudity only helps act like a guideline in a sense and helps moves the story along when needed. I disagree with the Amazon editorial review. Devil Hunter Yohko, or in its original name, Mamoto Hunter Yohko, is anime that is anything but silly. As a female anime fan, I found it empowering. I don't feel the nudity is gratuitous. Part of the story concerns Yohko coming to terms with her sexuality, and later claiming it, as well as the mantle of Demon Hunter. Cunard Line has announced that its new
85,000-ton cruise ship, which is scheduled to enter service in 2008, will be
named Queen Victoria. Based in Southampton, England, the Cunard Queen Victoria will be
the second largest Cunard Queen ever built. Together with the current flagship,
Queen Elizabeth 2, and Queen Mary 2, the biggest passenger liner ever, the
Cunard fleet will include three Queens for the first time – truly the most
famous ocean liners in the world.

Queen Victoria will enter service in the company’s 165th anniversary and will
operate cruises to and from Southampton to the Mediterranean, the Canaries,
Northern Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. The 1,968-passenger vessel
will feature a covered wraparound promenade deck, a forward-facing observation
lounge, a large Lido pool with a retractable magrodome, and 10 of the12
passenger decks will be served by exterior glass-walled lifts. Like QE2 and QM2,
the liner will have a Queens Grill, offering single-seating gourmet dining.
There will also be a unique Colonial Restaurant on Deck 11 with spectacular
panoramic views.
Queen Victoria cruises will offer a wide range of
accommodations, large standard outside cabins (170 square feet) and a high
percentage of balcony cabins (67%), thereby bringing new levels of luxury and
choice to passengers preferring to depart from a European port. Cruise

The on-board menus, entertainment and lecture program will be geared to British
tastes and the currency will be sterling. Queen Victoria will fly the red
ensign; she will have the name of her home port, Southampton, on her stern, and
she will have a British Captain and Officers.
In design terms the cruise Cunard Queen Victoria will have an undeniably British feel with two British design
teams being responsible for the interior of the Cunard Queen Victoria.
Queen Victoria is being built at Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, near
Venice, with her keel laid on July 12, 2003. One of the most technically
advanced shipbuilders in the world, Fincantieri has built more than 7,000
vessels, including many for Cunard’s parent Carnival Corporation. Originally
ordered as the fifth in a series of five 'Vista' class ships for sister company
Holland America, the contact was signed over to Cunard before the keel was laid
and Holland America then ordered a further ship for delivery in 2006.

lead ship in the series, Zuiderdam, entered service in December 2002.
No cruise schedules have yet been
announced. Her float out is scheduled for May 2007, prior to
her delivery in March 2008.She is scheduled to enter service in April 2008. |
